Beginnings and endings. Or endings and beginnings. They happen all the time and we’ve got it going on right now. Summer has basically wrapped (although this week it is in the near 90’s for several days… go figure) and school has now officially begun for both kids! We’ve probably done our last boating weekend but soccer and karate classes have commenced. While I’m sad the summer fun has come to a close I am excited about the kids classes, Sophie’s teacher in particular (who is GREAT), and I am also kind of excited about the prospect of a couple hours, 4 afternoons a week when both kids are at school and I can do things solo. So, it seems like a good time to post the final hurrah from our summer; boating, dinner on the deck, and sunshine in general; as well as the first few leaves on the maple out front that are starting to turn (nooooooo!) as well as Max’s first day in Pre-K. He was really excited to finally get to start school like his big sister, as you can tell from the ear-to-ear grin and it was still there when I went to pick him up! Enjoy!

Oh enjoy those summer shots until you go to Hawaii.
